Publishing a new article
- Click New Article.
- Fill in the title, summary (used in list cards), and full body (rich text editor supported).
- Set the publication date and optionally an expiry date after which the article is no longer shown.
- Choose the visibility — for example, all users or restricted to specific departments or areas.
- Click Publish to make it live immediately, or save it as a draft to finish later.
The creation page is articulated in two columns, the left one with details and options, and the right one with the content panel.
The details columns is again divided into three tabs:
- General
- Title
- Headline (sub-title, optional)
- Category (which gives you the posibility to select among categories you already used)
- Hashtags
- A brief summary to be shown on home page (if you leave this empty, it gets auto-generated with the first part of your news)
- Visibility (Published or Draft)
- Features post (to pin it on top)
- Audience
- Target audience (you can select which structures should be able to see the article)
- Discussion board (if you want to allow comments)
- Cover image (a https URL of an image to use as cover head)
- Poll
- You can also add a poll by specifying a title
- Text options (at least one)
- You can also specify if you want to allow multiple answers, allow unvoting, show the votes of others and see who voted in general.
- A deadline until when you are allowed to vote
On top, you also have the possibility to use placeholders (dynamic contents) so that the article shows the value according to the reading user.
For example {first_name} will be replaced with the first name of the user that is reading.
