Starting the creation wizard
Click Create new group from the groups list. The form is divided into three sections: basic information, characteristics, and responsible assignment.
Basic information
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Code (Acronym) | Unique short identifier. Cannot be changed after creation. Must not conflict with any existing global group code. |
| Name | Human-readable display name. |
| Description | Short description of the group purpose. |
Context type
| Type | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Role group | Used for access routing and role assignment workflows. |
| Security group | Controls application permissions and access control policies. |
| Mailing group | Used for email distribution lists. Requires an email address. |
Population type
| Type | Description |

| Explicit | Members added and removed manually by responsibles or delegates. |
| Mix | Combines automatic rules with manual member management. |
| Group of groups | Membership inherited from one or more linked child groups. |
User scope
Choose which category of users this group can contain: Internal (employees and collaborators), External (outside the main directory), or All.
Global group option
Enabling the Global group toggle makes the group visible and usable across all brands and tenants. This setting is restricted to system administrators and should be used sparingly.
Mailing group extras
If Mailing is selected as the context type, two additional fields appear: an email address for the distribution list, and a newsletter visibility toggle.
Assigning a responsible
Optionally assign a group responsible at creation time. The responsible can be changed later via Edit settings.
