What is a Locked Permission?
While most permissions can be manually granted to any user, some specific rights are designated as System Locked. These are critical permissions where access is strictly determined by the user's core HR status (e.g., "Heads of Unit") and cannot be manually overridden by an administrator.
Identifying Locked Permissions
When you view a locked permission, you will notice two key interface changes:
- No Grant Button: The "New Auth" button is replaced by a red LOCKED / SYSTEM ONLY badge.
- Input Blocking: If you attempt to edit an existing record, the form will display a "Permission Locked" alert with a robot icon, stating that the value is managed by automatic rules only.
How to Grant Access?
Since you cannot manually assign these rights, you must update the user's Master Data to meet the requirement.
Example: If the "View Unit Budget" permission is locked to "Heads of Unit," you cannot just give it to a random employee. You must officially promote that employee to "Head of Unit" in the HR system. Once their status changes, the permission will be granted automatically by the system.
