A calculated member is not Acquired yet — what does it mean?

Explanation

In a Calculated Authorization Group, there is an important distinction between a user matching a rule and being fully acquired as a member.

When the rules engine evaluates group membership, it identifies users who satisfy the configured conditions. However, the explicit membership snapshot — the record stored in the members table — may not yet have been written if the nightly cron has not run since the rule was last evaluated.

Status badges explained

BadgeMeaning
Calculated to acquireThe user currently matches the active rules but their explicit membership record has not yet been written. They will be fully acquired on the next cron run or when Force acquisition is triggered.
AcquiredThe user matches the rules and their membership record has been written. They are confirmed active members of the group.
Internal calcThe membership has been calculated internally but is not yet synchronized to external provisioning systems (e.g. Office 365 or Cloud Files).

How to resolve a "Calculated to acquire" status

You do not need to take any action — the status will resolve automatically on the next nightly cron run. If you need the membership to be confirmed immediately, use the Force acquisition button in the group detail view to trigger an on-demand evaluation and snapshot.
