Starting the creation wizard

Click Create new group from the groups list. The form is divided into three sections: basic information, characteristics, and responsible assignment.

Basic information

FieldDescription
Code (Acronym)A unique short identifier for the group. This cannot be changed after creation and must not conflict with any existing global group code.
NameThe human-readable display name of the group.
DescriptionA short description of the group purpose.

Characteristics

Select the context type (Role, Security, or Mailing), the population type (Calculated, Explicit, Mix, or Group of groups), and the user scope (Internal, External, or All). For a full explanation of each option, see Authorization Groups: context types, population types, and user scope.

If Mailing is selected, two additional fields appear: an email address for the distribution list, and a newsletter visibility toggle.

The Global group toggle (restricted to system administrators) makes the group visible and usable across all brands and tenants.

Assigning a responsible

Optionally assign a group responsible at creation time using the search panel. The responsible can be changed later via Edit settings.

Confirming creation

Click Confirm and create group. The system will validate the code uniqueness in real time as you type — a green indicator confirms the code is available, while a red indicator means it is already taken or conflicts with a global group code.
