Opening Edit settings
Open a group from the list and click Edit settings. The edit form mirrors the creation form with the following important notes:
Read-only fields
The Code (Acronym) field is permanently read-only after group creation. It cannot be changed because it is referenced throughout the system as the primary group identifier.
Safe changes
Changes to context type, population type, and user scope are safe — existing memberships are preserved when these properties are updated.
Provisioning settings
The Azure / Office 365 Group ID field links the group to a Microsoft Azure Active Directory group for provisioning synchronization. The expected format is xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx.
The Global group toggle is restricted to system administrators. Enabling it makes the group visible and usable across all brands and tenants.
Default groups
Default groups are system-predefined and cannot be edited by regular administrators. Attempting to edit a default group will display an informational error banner. See Why can't I modify some groups? for details.
Saving changes
Click Save changes. For sysadmin-level changes, the system may run a live coherence check before confirming the save.
