What is Manage Authorization Groups?
Manage Authorization Groups is the central module for creating, configuring, and maintaining all authentication and authorization groups within the platform. Groups are the primary mechanism for:
- Controlling application access and permissions via Permission Packages.
- Provisioning accounts to external systems such as Microsoft Office 365 and Cloud Files.
- Organizing users into dynamic or explicit populations for routing, mailing, and security purposes.
List view — tabs
The main list view is organized into tabs based on your relationship to each group:
| Tab | Shows |
|---|---|
| Groups you delegated | Groups where you are assigned as a delegate manager. |
| Groups you are responsible for | Groups where you are the assigned responsible. |
| All groups | All groups in the tenant (requires the manage_auth_groups permission or Founder access). |
| Default | System-predefined groups that cannot be deleted or have their rules modified. |
| Global | Cross-brand global groups (visible to super-administrators only). |
