What are Deactivation Events?
A Deactivation Event is a scheduled or triggered removal of a user from a group, linked to a specific event or condition such as the end of a contract, a role change, or an organizational restructuring. Deactivation events allow group managers to plan and track membership terminations in a structured way.
Who can manage Deactivation Events?
Both the group Responsible and any assigned Delegates can view and manage deactivation events for the groups they are authorized to manage.
Viewing Deactivation Events
Open the group detail view and navigate to the Deactivation Events tab. The tab lists all pending and completed deactivation events for this group, including the target user, the scheduled date, and the operator who created the event.
Creating a Deactivation Event
- In the Deactivation Events tab, click Add deactivation event.
- Search for and select the user whose membership should be terminated.
- Set the deactivation date — the date on which the membership will be removed.
- Optionally add a note describing the reason for the deactivation.
- Confirm to save the event.
Deactivation Events history
The History section within the Deactivation Events tab records all past events, including who created each event and when it was executed. This provides a full audit trail of planned membership terminations for the group.
